At Alimentaria, Gèniu presents its organic wine, hand produced with Xarel·lo grapes from the Penedès region
Wine made to be savoured
Gèniu comes to Alimentaria with its organic wine made in the traditional way, with the natural yeasts of the grape skins, without chemical additives or acidity correctors. Made with Xarel·lo grapes from old organic vineyards in the Penedès region, the winemakers perform the punch-down, the manual extraction of the grape juice and the most elegant nuances of their skins during fermentation, without stabilisers and respecting the wine’s natural rhythms.
Gèniu is a small winery in the Penedès region that creates its wines from Xarel·lo-variety grapes grown in vineyards planted in 1957. The entire operation is carried out manually, harvesting the grapes to produce a breezy wine with minimal intervention, with the aim of expressing, as clearly as possible and with no interference, the nuances of the Xarel·lo variety.
This is a genuine wine, with the capital ‘G’ of Gèniu; and, as the brand indicates on the stoppers of each bottle, a wine to gaudir: ‘enjoy’ in Catalan.
