Thrive will present its Peak beers, alcohol-free and enriched with proteins and vitamins, to aid recovery after sport
Beer for athletes
“Authentic beer made in a healthy way” is the claim that the Thrive company from Belgium will use to extol the virtues of its non-alcoholic beer enriched with proteins, specifically designed for athletes due to its great potential to aid post-exercise recovery.
The 10 grams of high-quality proteins and 13.5 grams of carbohydrates per 33-centilitre can give the drink the ability to improve recovery and promote muscle growth. Thrive Peak is the ideal option for recovering from physical exertion, while Thrive Play, low in calories and rich in vitamins B and D, is “the healthiest beer in the world”.
All the ingredients used in its preparation (water, barley, hops and yeast) are natural and it doesn’t contain any added sugars, sweeteners, aromas, preservatives or colourings. Nor does it contain any alcohol, as it uses a patented yeast free of the sugars produced by barley during the fermentation.
Thrive beers are the healthy alternative to more common sports drinks. It’s advisable to consume it between one and two hours after exercise, when the body demands the proteins and carbohydrates required to recover.
Thrive is brewed in Flanders, at a state-of-the-art factory that’s been producing alcohol-free beers for a number of years.
